New worldwide seasonal flu immunization strategies with
expanded target populations, plus the ever-increasing threat
of a worldwide outbreak of a highly infectious and deadly
influenza virus variant are driving the demand for
preventative vaccines.
The major defense against influenza is vaccination;
however, global production capacity is insufficient to supply
growing demand for both pandemic and seasonal vaccines.
Our iBioLaunchâ„¢ platform, with its rapid, unparalleled
scale-up capacity and cost efficiency, was developed in
response to the pressing need for alternative approaches to
the limitations of current vaccine production technologies,
particularly where large scale or rapid inoculation is
needed.
We are developing proprietary vaccines composed of viral
surface antigens directed against both human seasonal and
avian influenza strains. Preclinical studies of immunogenicity
and protective efficacy of these novel sub-unit vaccine
candidates are showing significant promise.
